Over the next few months, it is my intention to re-organise and reformat the Harchester projects and materials. If anyone has any suggestions or views on what you would like to see, please email me:
The main Design & Technology Association Website, which includes a wealth of information and member’s access to on-line resources
The Design & Technology Association’s on-line platform for CPD, including future course information and previous course’s resources
A good range of short videos covering many aspects of DT. They have recently added a series on designers and engineers talking about their work. Well worth a look, some good stuff on there to help develop your thinking and understanding of the subject.
A collection of pictures of projects, ideas and resources to help and inspire
A video platform for Design and Technology teachers, giving access to a wealth of D&T related videos, in one place, helping you deliver the subject in school.
Untitled is a digital platform for 11-18-year-olds created with the intention of supporting, enabling and inspiring the next generation of designers and creators.
The creative briefs are real-world briefs, hosted by global brands, agencies and even celebrities, and are free for all those between 11-18 to enter. The briefs allow the opportunity to learn something, or expand existing creative skills – any skill level can get involved!
Only young creators (11-18) can submit their work to creative briefs, but teachers can use them as tools to help with remote learning or in the classroom.
Currently many attractions are now CLOSED – It is advisable to check the specific websites for arrangements and whether they are providing alternative access through Podcasts or Online events
- Although not directly linked to DT, there are some really nice materials here, which will add interest, context and vision to any project. But they do focus upon the younger years.
