THE MUSEUM
The Museum of London is very unique and special museum, due to the fact that it presents the History of London in a linear form, with each gallery feeding into the next. No other museum takes this approach, so it creates a journey for all of us to experience
The galleries are:
- London Before London – 450,000 BC – AD 50
- Roman London – AD 50 – AD 410
- Medieval London – AD 410 – AD 1558
- War, Plague & Fire – AD 1550s – AD 1660s
1st Level – Entrance
You then go down from this level to:
- Modern London – Expanding City – 1670s – 1850s
- Victorian Walk
- Modern London – People’s City – 1850s – 1940s
- Modern London – World City – 1950s – Today
2nd Level – L2
The extra galleries are for temporary exhibitions and to store the Lord’s Mayor Coach
