Only a couple of miles away from where I live is Knebworth House. It has nearly 300 acres, including parkland, formal gardens and woodland area, as well as the house, which dates back to the 15th century.
You can walk to the house, but it is really only accessible by car, as it is about a mile from the entrance to the house, even after you have reached the ticket office. There is also an entrance fee of £9.50, with an extra charge of £3 to enter the house. The £9.50 fee covers the adventure playground, as well as the gardens, the dinosaur trail and the general park area
It has a range of facilities, such as a woodland walk, formal gardens and the dinosaur trail. There is a café and shop, as well as a barn area for special occasions, such as weddings. The park also holds major events throughout the year, such as food festivals and steam rallies.
