The Future of this website
- I intend to carry on with it for at least another year. However, the renewal of the domain name, etc, is due in 2026, which will incur additional costs. I’ve been retired now for six years and would really like to carry on with this site, but I do need some new input if it is to continue, such a good projects, examples of work and worksheets based around the themes explored, so please, please, contact us if you have anything you can contribute or would like to see further developed.
British Museum Redevelopment Announced – February 2025
The British Museum has chosen architect Lina Ghotmeh and her Paris-based design team to redevelop the west wing of the museum. The team will now work with the Museum to develop initial designs by mid-2026.

Coming Exhibitions
Tropical Modernism was an architectural style developed in the hot, humid conditions of West Africa in the 1940s. After independence, India and Ghana adopted the style as a symbol of modernity and progressiveness, distinct from colonial culture.
